July 05, (THEWILL) – Two contestants, Francis and Kingdom, are now battling for the ultimate prize of the Nigerian Idol, which premiered on March 14, 2021, and auditioned the prospects of young Nigerians.
THEWILL writes that coming Sunday the top two final contestants will slug it out on the Nigerian Idol stage hoping to be crowned the winner of the competition; and the big question is: Who is Nigerian Idol 2021, from these last two standing?
Fans witnessed the exit of Akunna, who was the only female in the competition on the music talent hunt show after she scored the least votes.
Akunna was evicted after receiving the least votes in the last round of public voting.
About 68 contestants contested and 14 of them received golden tickets, while 39 went through selections that saw only 17 going into the next round.
The second Theatre Week received 11 contestants in the show, they were: Comfort Alalade, Alumna Okey, Faith Onyeje, Kingdom Kroseide, Dotun Deloye, Francis Atela, Daniel Ikechi, Beyonce Ajomiwe, Clinton Francis, Emmanuel Elijah and Faith-Mac Ebiama.
And 26-year-old Francis on Sunday performed “Sexual Healing” and “Please Forgive Me,” while Kingdom performed “Say Something” and “The Lion Sleeps Tonight.”
Their performances wowed fans and judges as the duo clinched tickets to the finals.
