November 26, (THEWILL) – The Presidential Candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, has vowed that after winning the election in 2023, he will continue with the progressive government that the country has been witnessing in the last eight years.

Addressing a mammoth crowd at the APC Presidential Campaign Rally in Surulere, Lagos, on Saturday, Tinubu said he will provide progressive governance where nobody will be excluded.

“We will continue a progressive government for this country where everybody will be included. A government where nobody will be forgotten in terms of good education, good health care, improved economy among other good things”, Tinubu said.

He castigated the PDP Presidential Candidate, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar says he has been contesting the presidency since 1999 and ought to have stopped contesting.

“Atiku has been running since 1999. He ran on the PDP, he ran on the ACN Platform, and he is not supposed to run again.

“You should retire Atiku with your PVC in February next year. Don’t listen to him. He said he is running to better Nigeria’s future. But the PDP was at the helm of affairs for 16 years. They didn’t remember to build good roads. They didn’t remember Badagry road. They didn’t remember East-West Road. They didn’t remember the Second Niger Bridge. They gave Nigeria estimated bills. We can’t continue with that “, Tinubu said.

Tinubu thanked the Lagos State Governor, Mr Babajide Sanwo-Olu and his cabinet for putting up what he called the “Mother of all rallies.”

He pleaded with Lagosians to vote Sanwo-Olu and his deputy for a second term for them to continue the good works they have started.

Speaking earlier, the Chief host of the campaign rally, Lagos State Governor, Mr Babajide Sanwo-Olu, said Tinubu’s achievements in Lagos placed him above all other candidates in the 2023 presidential election, describing him as the right man for the job.

“Tinubu is the right man for the job. His reputation made him stand tall among his peers. He transformed Lagos to a great height and to a centre of excellence.”

He described the rally as the beginning of the mother of all rallies.

Sanwo-Olu commended the 22 APC Governors and tagged the progressive governors and other leaders of the party especially the Presidential Campaign Council for the good jobs they have been doing and for their presence at the rally.

Also speaking, the Director General of the APC Campaign Council, Governor Simon Lalong of Plateau State said the February election was as good as won.

He said Tinubu is the most suitable person to succeed President Muhammadu Buhari, saying he stands taller than other presidential candidates.

“Tinubu doesn’t talk much, but his achievements and successes cannot be hidden”, Lalong said.

He said Tinubu has over the years prepared himself for the moment, having built bridges across the country, saying that is why Tinubu is the name on the lips of everybody in the country.

“Tinubu has the capacity and charisma to perform diligently and the election is as good as won”, he said.

Also speaking on behalf of the APC Governors who were all present at the rally, Governor Atiku Bagudu who is the Chairman of the Progressive governors said all the APC Governors are behind Tinubu and will work for his victory in the next year’s election.

He said all the APC governors are behind Tinubu for the right reason.

He urges Lagosians to Mobilise for Tinubu’s election throughout the country.

Present at the rally are members of the NWC of the party, former and present governors of the party, ministers, members of the national assembly including the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Femi Gbajabiamila among others.
