March 13, (THEWILL) – Watford has confirmed that it has reached an agreement with midfielder, Dan Gosling, to terminate his contract early.
The decision comes after Gosling was ruled out for the rest of the season due to an injury that coincided with the end of his contract with the Championship club.
Although the midfielder is ahead of schedule in his recovery, he will not be able to play this season as he was not named in Watford’s squad after the January transfer window closed. The financial settlement between the club and the player remains unknown, but both parties have reached an amicable agreement.
Gosling recently returned from a family holiday in Dubai, authorised by the Watford medical staff. He will now continue his rehabilitation under the supervision of the club at their London Colney training ground.
The midfielder signed a two-and-a-half-year deal at Watford in January 2021 and helped the club gain promotion to the Premier League.
