BEVERLY HILLS, February 10, (THEWILL) – The Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) has claimed that it has opened an operational embassy in Spain.
According to a video shared on Facebook by Kayode Ogundamisi, a journalist, Uchenna Asiegbu, IPOB Directorate Head, is seen in the video taking a guest on a tour of the facility.
The claim was made in spite of the incarceration of Nnamdi Kanu, Leader of the group and Director of Radio Biafra, who is facing charges of treason, and he has been in detention since 2015.
Kanu, who is regarded as the President of the “Republic of Biafra,” had initiated the idea of planting embassies across the world.
Although, the claim has not been verified, THEWILL recalls that the group is seeking an independent state for the Igbos in South-East Nigeria.
