September 15, (THEWILL) – Unknown gunmen have abducted Port Harcourt-based comedian, David Uwakwe, aka MC Dave, or Gbagamgbam.
His abductors are demanding N25 million ransom to free him.
The comedian was abducted on Sunday, September 10, 2023, by the assailants around Rumukalagbo area of Rivers state.
Uwakwe was returning from a show he attended at the University of Port Harcourt area when he was abducted around 2am by kidnappers dressed in police uniform and their faces covered with masks.
The kidnapers, who were on the trail of their target, stopped him after calling him by his name and ordered him to enter a stationed vehicle.
The state Police Public Relations Officer PPRO, Grace Iringe-Koko, confirmed the incident and said they have commenced investigation into the incident.
