Uduaghan Credits Success To God As He Clocks 60

BEVERLY HILLS, October 22, (THEWILL) – Delta State Governor, Dr Emmanuel Uduaghan Wednesday celebrated his 60th birthday anniversary, attributing his successes and preservation in life to the goodness and mercies of God.

Governor Uduaghan who marked the anniversary with a thanksgiving service at the First Baptist Church, Warri observed that but for God’s intervention in the affairs of his life, he would not have been alive to witness the 60 years celebration.

“Sixty years is not a joke. In the last 60 years, God has lifted me from nothing to something,” he said, adding, “people have accused me of thanking God so much but, I have not thanked God enough.

“I am a living testimony of thanksgiving, that is why I will continue to thank God again and again. God lifted me up and gave me a new song, I am stronger than I was ten years ago, I will give God all the praise.”

“One secret of getting God’s blessing is to praise God,” he reiterated.

President of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), Pastor Ayo Oritsejafor, in his sermon at the church service, commended Governor Uduaghan for giving thanks to God, explaining that thanksgiving is “appreciating God for what He has done, what He is doing and what He is going to do.

“God is interested in your expectations, thanksgiving energizes your expectations.

“Sin can rubbish your expectations, don’t be a wicked man or woman who is self centred, who does not consider the feelings of others,” he said, and admonished, “run away from wickedness because it can rubbish your expectations.”

He congratulated the Governor on his birthday, saying, “Your Excellency, you have a bright future.”

High point of the occasion was thanksgiving for God’s blessing led by the Governor who was accompanied by members of his family, top government officials and well wishers.
