December 11, (THEWILL) – Members of staff of the University of Calabar Teaching Hospital (UCTH) have honoured the departed former Chief Medical Director, Professor Thomas Agan, with a procession.
The procession, which kicked off at the Granite Hall of the hospital, was concluded at the University of Calabar.

The solemn procession, which was graced by the current Chief Medical Director of the hospital, Professor Ikpeme Asanye Ikpeme, is part of the activities ahead of the funeral of the departed surgeon.
Professor Agan, a two-term Chief Medical Director of the University of Calabar Teaching Hospital, reportedly died at the University of Ife Teaching Hospital after a brief illness.
The remains of the sixty-one years old Professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology, who hails from Okpeche-Afrike, will be interred on Friday, December 15, 2023.
As part of preparations for his funeral, a memorial lecture in his honour as well as a night of tributes has been scheduled.
