BEVERLY HILLS, July 07, (THEWILL) – No fewer than five persons were killed Tuesday in a Borno village when a female suicide bomber struck at a military checkpoint in the village.
Two members of the local vigilante group, a.k.a Civilian JTF, on guard at the checkpoint as well as the suicide bomber herself were among those killed.
A local vigilante member, Kaka Abdul, who disclosed this, said that the bomber alighted from a vehicle at the military checkpoint in Sabon Gari in Damboa local government area of state and detonated the explosives strapped to her body, killing herself and four others, with the loud explosion injuring many others.
According to Abdul, “At about 10:30 am today (Tuesday), a female bomber who wrapped up explosive devices on her body exploded at a checkpoint, killing four, including two members of civilian JTF and injured many others.”
