Troops Rescue Six Abducted Zamfara Varsity Students

September 22, (THEWILL) – The Nigerian army troops of Operation Hadarin Daji have rescued six abducted students of the Federal University Gusau, Zamfara.

The students were Kidnapped on Thursday night, by bandits, who invaded their off-campus residence in Sabon-Gida community, in the Bungudu Local Government Area of the State.

The Army said the troops also neutralised some of the bandits during the rescue operation.

THEWILL reports that an unspecified number of students of Federal University, Gusau, resident in Sabon Gida Community, were abducted Thursday night, by armed bandits.

Security agencies said efforts are ongoing to rescue other victims unhurt.
