Tonye Cole, the co-Founder and Group Executive Director of Sahara Group and the 2023 governorship candidate of the All Progressive Congress in Rivers State, has given out his first daughter, Vanessa Oluwaseun, in marriage to her beau, Chuka Ogili. The lavish ceremony took place last weekend at the VIP Marquee, Lulu Ama Sandfield, Abonema, Rivers State. The event started with a traditional wedding ceremony where marriage rites were duly observed. It was followed by a lavish reception held at the same venue.
The wedding was attended by politicians, traditional rulers, business moguls who adorned ensembles in lemon green which was the colour of the day. The wedding hall was also transformed with lemon green decorations, beautiful chandeliers which added class and panache to the ceremony. Dr Sylvia Cole, mother of the bride, played a dutiful host as she welcomed dignitaries and ensured their welfare during their short stay was the top priority of the event planners in charge of the well-attended ceremony. Nigerian music sensation, Wande Cole thrilled guests with some hit songs from his repertoire.
Vanessa is a personal chef, lifestyle enthusiast and first daughter of the politician cum businessman. Also known as Chef Vee, she was trained at the prestigious Chef Academy London and completed further training at Michelin Star Restaurant, Bibendum, in South Kensington London. Her passion and dedication to her craft earned her a finalist spot at the ‘Mastercard Cooking Competition, The Kitchen Nigeria’ in 2021. Her husband, Agili, is a graduate of IE Business School in Madrid, Spain.
