Tinubu’s Aide, Nweze, Aviation Commissioner Solicit Support From Opposition For Nwifuru

January 14, (THEWILL) – The Senior Special Assistant, (SSA), to the President of Community Engagement, Southeast Region, Mrs Nweze Chioma and the Commissioner for Aviation and Transport Technology, Mrs Ngozi Obichukwu, has called on all lovers of democracy to support Governor Francis Nwifuru, to entrench good governance and development in the state.

Nweze and Obichukwu, who made this known through a statement signed and made available to Newsmen in Abakaliki, commended the supreme court of Nigeria for affirming the victory of Governor Francis Nwifuru, in the last March 18 general election.

Nweze urged Governor Francis Nwifuru, to be magnanimous in victory and make concrete moves towards inclusive governance as necessary.

According to her: “This verdict by the apex court, not only validates the popular mandate given to you by the good people of Ebonyi State through your resounding victory at the polls, it also lays to rest the tussle over the governorship of Ebonyi State and removes all legal obstacles for you to fully deliver the dividends of democracy to the good people of the state.

“While we commend our justice system for the transparent and impartial audit of the election, we call on all lovers of democracy in Ebonyi State to be bound together for continuation of good governance and development and advancement of democracy” she stated.

Responding, the commissioner for Aviation and Transport Technology, Obichukwu, said the Governor’s victory at the Supreme Court has paved the way for Ebonyians to experience unprecedented economic growth/development, christened in the People’s Charter of Needs.

“The resounding triumph of Governor Francis Nwifuru at the supreme court of Nigeria has validated the overwhelming votes given to him by the majority of Ebonyians in the state’s last March 18 governorship polls.

Obichukwu further noted that the supreme court judgement has put off all distractions to the Governor and will subsequently, be spurred to give greater attention towards the completion of all ongoing laudable projects, including the Chuba Okadigbo’s international airport runway, that have received great support of the Governor.

“Ebonyi State under Governor Francis Nwifuru has soared in aviation and transport technology, healthcare delivery services especially in the general hospitals, education, security and rural development, and with this final victory, all project execution will naturally speed up”, she said.

The commissioner also urged Nwifuru’s opponents to accept the supreme court judgement and bind with the governor to develop the state to the envy of other states in the Southeast region.
