January 17, (THEWILL) – President Bola Tinubu has sworn in Ambassador Desmond Akawor as a Commissioner of the Revenue Mobilisation Allocation and Fiscal Commission (RMAFC).
Akawor was sworn in on Wednesday, at a brief ceremony held just before the commencement of the Federal Executive Council (FEC) meeting at the Council Chambers of the State House, Abuja.
Prior to his new appointment, Akawor was the Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Rivers State.
Immediately after the swearing-in ceremony, the President presided over the FEC Meeting.
Some of those in attendance include the Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), George Akume; the Head of the Civil Service of the Federation, Dr Folashade Yemi-Esan; the Chief of Staff to the President, Femi Gbajabiamila; National Security Adviser (NSA), Nuhu Ribadu, and other members of the cabinet.
