Nigeria’s president-elect, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, will return to Abuja on Monday, after spending weeks on ‘vacation’ in France.
April 24, (THEWILL) – The President-elect, on March 21, jetted out to France, a trip his campaign council said was meant for him to take a rest and plan ahead of his inauguration on May 29.
In an “Exclusive: Tinubu: Lobbyists On Wild Goose Chase To Mecca”, THEWILL reports that Tinubu, who was in France for his medicals, clinical, as well as body and mind rejuvenation ahead of the May 29 inauguration into office, is expected back in the country this week.
Confirming the report, his Director of Media and Publicity, Bayo Onanuga, in a tweet on Monday, said Tinubu would return to the country today.
“Nigeria’s President-elect, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, returns to Abuja today after weeks of a well deserved vacation in France. E kaabo! Se dada le de!”, the tweet by Bayo onanuga (@aonanuga1956), read.
Reports indicate that Tinubu’s plane will land at the presidential wing of the Abuja Airport, where he will be greeted by a carnival-like motorcade that will escort him to the Defence House.
