October 5, (THEWILL) – President Bola Tinubu departed Lagos for Abuja on Monday evening after a six-day visit to the former seat of government.

The President arrived in Lagos on Tuesday, September 29, following his annual vacation in London and Paris.

During his stay, Tinubu addressed Nigerians on October 1 to commemorate the country’s 66th Independence Day anniversary.

Later that day, the President attended the national premiere of MKO, a documentary chronicling the life, political struggle and enduring legacy of the late Chief Moshood Kashimawo Abiola and the historic June 12 pro-democracy struggle.

Tinubu also visited the Oba of Lagos, Oba Rilwan Babatunde Akiolu, at his Iga Iduganran Palace on Lagos Island on Sunday.

The President’s return to Abuja was announced in a statement issued by his Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, on Monday.

Tinubu’s six-day stay in Lagos came shortly after his return from his annual vacation in Europe.
