SAN FRANCISCO, October 05, (THEWILL) – Former Lagos State Governor and leader of the All Progressive Congress (APC), Senator Bola Tinubu is back to Nigeria after weeks abroad in the United States of America and United Kingdom where he went through a surgical procedure on his legs.
The politician who arrived at the executive jet wing of the Lagos airport on Saturday told journalists he was glad to be back admitting that it was his longest absence from the country other than the time he fled abroad on exile during military rule.
The politician was received by his wife, Oluremi, the governors of Osun and Ekiti States, Rauf Aregbesola and Kayode Fayemi respectively, as well as other leaders of the APC and supporters.
Shortly after speaking with journalists, the politician visited survivors of the Associated Airline’s plane that crashed a few minutes after take off on Thursday morning killing at least 13 persons onboard.
Tinubu lambasted aviation authorities over the poor state of the sector.
