July 11, (THEWILL) – Singer Harrison Tare Okiri, also known as Harrysong, has called for a presidential debate for all candidates vying for the seat of the president of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
He took to social media and advised that all presidential candidates should just not contest for election, but they should first make their mandate known to the people who will elect them into leadership positions.
He insisted that the presidential candidate for the All Progressive Congress (APC), Bola Ahmed Tinubu, must also be present, because no citizen is greater than the country.
“There must be presidential debate for the 2023 general elections in Nigeria.
“And every contesting candidate must be present to clear, defend and make clear their mandate.
“Tinubu must be there, no citizen is greater than the country”, he wrote.
His post is coming at a time when Nigerians are demanding for accountability from their leaders.
Many have also been canvassing that citicizens should get their PVC and ensure they vote for candidates of their choice in the forthcoming elections.
