Tinubu Loses Inlaw To Undisclosed Ailment

November 19, (THEWILL) – Dr. Kolapo Akande’s death has thrown the All Progressives Congress presidential candidate, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, and his wife, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, into mourning.

Kolapo, who died at the age of 72, was married to Oluremi Tinubu’s sister, Dr. Lola Akande, who is currently the Lagos State Commissioner for Commerce, Industry and Cooperatives.

According to sources, the deceased had been sick for some time from an undisclosed ailment.

Kolapo’s death came a few days after an All Progressive Congress lawmaker at the Lagos State House of Assembly, Abdul-Sobur Olawale, slumped and died in Jos, during the party’s presidential campaign flag-off on the 15th of November.

Another chieftain of the APC in Lagos, Chief Juliana Dupeola Awodogan, popularly known as ‘Iya Oniyan’, also died on the same day at the Lagos University Teaching Hospital (LUTH), Lagos, after a protracted illness.
