December 16, (THEWILL) – President Bola Tinubu on Monday approved the appointment of eight new permanent secretaries into the federal civil service, aimed at filling existing and anticipated vacancies across various states and geopolitical zones.
A statement issued by Bayo Onanuga, Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy, noted that the appointments followed recommendations from the Office of the Head of the Civil Service of the Federation after a thorough selection process.
The newly appointed permanent secretaries are, Onwusoro Maduka Ihemelandu (Abia State), Ndiomu Ebiogeh Philip (Bayelsa State), Anuma Ogbonnaya Nlia (Ebonyi State), Ogbodo Chinasa Nnam (Enugu State), Kalba Danjuma Usman (Gombe State), Usman Salihu Aminu (Kebbi State)
Others are Oyekunle Patience Nwakuso (Rivers State), Nadungu Gagare (Kaduna State).
This marks the second wave of permanent secretary appointments by PTinubu, following a similar exercise in June, which saw appointments from Akwa Ibom, Anambra, Bauchi, Jigawa, Ondo, Zamfara, as well as the South-East and South-South zones.
In his message to the newly appointed officials, The President urged them to embrace a spirit of commitment, innovation, and diligence in their service to the nation.
The appointments underscore the administration’s commitment to ensuring an efficient and responsive civil service that aligns with its vision of good governance.
