Senator Shehu Buba Umar, representing Bauchi South Senatorial District, has voluntarily submitted himself to the DSS, Police and Defence Intelligence Agency for investigation.

A former Director-General of the State Security Service (SSS), now known as the Department of State Services (DSS), Chief Albert Horsefall, has died at the age of 84.

Ajayi said the directive was part of reforms introduced under his leadership to reposition the Service, strengthen respect for the rule of law and improve its human rights record.
