The Presidential Campaign Council (PCC) of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has accused former Vice President Atiku Abubakar of “dangerous politicisation” of Nigeria’s Ebola outbreak, saying the public health emergency should not be used for political attacks against President Bola Tinubu.

Atiku Abubakar, has demanded immediate publication of the preliminary voters’ register containing more than 103 million names, accusing the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) of creating serious doubts about the credibility of the 2027 general election.

The All Progressives Congress (APC) Presidential Campaign Council has challenged African Democratic Congress (ADC) chieftain, Timi Frank, to prove his allegation that the Nigerian Government is plotting to assassinate former Vice President and ADC presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar, ahead of the 2027 general elections.

Keyamo, in a post on his X account on Wednesday, anchored his attack on the liquidation of Nigeria Airways and the decades-long struggle by former workers of the defunct national carrier to receive their outstanding pensions, gratuities and other entitlements.

The fresh investigation followed a petition by a former member of the House of Representatives, Hon. Ehiozuwa Johnson Agbonayinma, asking the anti-graft commission to revisit allegations investigated between 2005 and 2006 when Mallam Nuhu Ribadu headed the EFCC.

Special Adviser to the President on Media and Public Communications, Sunday Dare, asserted on Sunday in response to Atiku’s criticism of NNPC Retail’s 30-day petrol price discount and the Federal Government’s price-modulation framework.

The opposition leaders questioned the timing, scope and sustainability of the intervention, arguing that the measure would do little to address the high cost of petrol, rising transportation fares, food prices and mounting pressure on household incomes.

The ultimatum was contained in a communiqué issued after a joint meeting of the NLC National Executive Council (NEC) and Central Working Committee (CWC) at Labour House, Abuja.

Atiku said Nigerians could not eat government promises or survive on economic statistics while the prices of food, transportation and other essentials remained beyond the reach of many households.

The appointments, announced in a statement by Atiku's Senior Special Assistant on Public Communication and Director of Strategic Communications for the campaign council, Phrank Shaibu, are part of an organisational framework the former Vice-President said was deliberately designed to be lean and results-driven.
