October 06, (THEWILL) – The Chief Executive Officer of Aleena Petroleum, Bashir Masud Musa, has been awarded the Entrepreneur of the Year under the Democracy Heroes Award 2024.

Musa was a gubernatorial aspirant in 2019 under the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Sokoto State and founded Masud Musa Dan Foundation, a humanitarian platform that caters for the less privileged in the society.

He was awarded for his exceptional entrepreneurship and commitment to innovation, sustainability and excellence in the energy sector, as well as empowering youth and alleviating poverty.

The prestigious award, according to the organiser, Face of Democratic Nigeria (FDN) was in recognition of Musa’s exceptional philanthropy and contributions to the society are outstanding and deserving of recognition.

The organiser, during the event, described the recipient as a multidimensional strategic thinker, who has impacted lives in many ways and contributed to the development of the society.

The organiser added that the award was conferred on the Philanthropist after rigorous processes that acknowledged his constant desire to improve society’s quality of life by creating opportunities for the upcoming generation.

“The awardee beats several other nominees to emerge the winner of the award category. Despite a lot of nominees, he was voted in by the people based on his contributions and development to the society.

“Hon Bashir is seen as an industry leader committed to innovation, sustainability and excellence in the energy sector. With a vision for a greener future, he is powering progress and driving change in the Oil and Gas.”

Democracy Hero’s Award is hosted by Face of Democracy Nigeria (FDN) and recognised entrepreneurs, businesses and entertainers whose contributions have helped in entrenching stability through job creation, youth empowerment and poverty alleviation measures.

The event was held at the congress hall, Transcorp Hilton Abuja, with political elites, business moguls and technocrats among others in attendance.
