BEVERLT HILLS, August 01, (THEWILL) – In deference to the directive by the Acting President, Professor Yemi Osinbajo, the nation’s Service Chiefs have touched down in Maiduguri, proceeding immediately to the Theatre Command in the Borno State capital.
Channels TV reports that the Chief of Army Staff, Lieutenant General Tukur Buratai, was the first to arrive in Maiduguri among the service chiefs on Tuesday.
The Chief of Defence Staff, General Abayomi Olonisakin, also arrived alongside the Chief of Air Staff, CAS, Air Marshal Sadique Abubakar, about two hours later.
The Acting President gave this order when he gave the order met with the Minister of Defence, Retired Brigadier General Mansur Dan-Ali, and the service chiefs five days ago following a resurgence of devastating Boko Haram attacks in the North-East.
