November 28, (THEWILL) – The Senate, on Tuesday, confirmed the appointment of chairman and members of the Federal Civil Service Commission (FCSC).
President Tinubu had on October 28, approved the appointment of professor Tunji Olaopa, as the chairman of FCSC.
The President also appointed Dr Dauda Jalo, Edet Eyoma, Chamberlain Nwele, Rufus Godwins, Dr Adamu Hussein, Aminu Nabegu, Hindatu Abdullahi, Shehu Aliyu, Odekunle Rukiyat, Princess Sarah Adebisi and Dr Festus Oyebade, as members of the Commission.
The confirmation of their appointment followed the consideration of the report of screening of the nominee and approval of the recommendations of the Senate Committee on Establishment and Public Service Matters at plenary, presided over by Senate President, Godswill Akpabio.
Chairman of the committee, Senator Oluwole Fasuyi Cyril, presented the report.
Akpabio wished the nominees a patriotic service to the fatherland.
Meanwhile, the Senate, on Tuesday, passed the 2023 budget of the Nigerian Police Trust Fund totalling N57.14 billion.
The passage of the budget followed the adoption a harmonised report submitted by the Senate committee on Police affairs.
