February 15, (THEWILL) – The Senate has confirmed the nomination of Adama Oluwole Oladapo, for appointment as Executive Director of the Nigerian Midstream and Downstream Gas Infrastructure Fund Board (NMDGIFB).
The confirmation followed Thursday’s adoption and approval of the report of the Senate Committee on Gas and Petroleum Resources (Downstream) that screened Oladapo.
President Bola Tinubu had requested the Senate to confirm Oladapo’s appointment in line with the establishment Act of the NMDGIFB.
Meanwhile, the Senate, on Thursday, eulogised the late Asagba of Asaba, Obi Chike Edozien and observed a minute’s silence in his honour.
This followed a motion moved at plenary by Senator Ned Nwoko (PDP – Delta North).
THEWILL reports that the late monarch, The Asagba of Asaba, His Royal Majesty, Obi (Prof) Joseph Chike Edozien, died on Wednesday, February 8, at 99 years.
