November 20, (THEWILL) – Social Democratic Party (SDP) Candidate for Ijebu Central Federal Constituency, Adeola Azeez, has donated signages for 18 communities in Ogbo, Odogbolu Local Government Area of Ogun State.
Azeez, while commissioning one of the signages in Ijagun community, Ogbo, said that the purpose of the donation was to give direction to give people directly into the communities.
Other communities where the signages were donated included Ilaworo, Ilawe, Okelamuren, Imaweje, Egbe Mosu, Idagbo, Ibido, Iken, Odosuwanren and Odo Alumapebi, to mention a few.
The daughter of the Yoruba elder statesman, Pa Ayo Adebanjo, said that she was motivated to erect the signages so that visitors or road users, who visit the communities won’t lose their directions.
She noted the signages would not only bring directional routes to the communities but would also help to reduce traffic for motorists, as well as aid the economic development of the entire Ogbo community.
The ex-banker said that streets in each of the community would be located through the signages for easy direction for travellers and businessmen and women who would like to do business in the communities
She said, “I am from Ogbo community, and I have always had it in my mind what it costs to have signages for road directions to communities, why are we neglecting them and why are we not assigning their main streets for them for easy directions. This will boost the villages, and it will boost their economic growth.
“People may ask what it brings to the table, but I can tell you the entire 18 communities of Ogbo are extremely excited that their communities are officially, and properly mentioned in their communities of Odogbolu Local Government Area.
“It will bring directional route, as well as economic growth when they ask how do you want to get to Ilawe? It will help to ease traffic. When I win the seat, it is a plan that all communities under my Ijebu federal central constituency will also benefit from.”
