SAN FRANCISCO, October 05, (THEWILL) – A Kabo Airlines plane carrying hundreds of intending pilgrims to Saudi Arabia lost two tyres shortly after touching down at the Sultan Abubakar III International Airport, Sokoto, on Friday night.
The Boeing 747 plane which took off from the Aminu Kano International Airport in Kano had stopped in Sokoto to pick up more intending pilgrims including the Governor of Kebbi State, Mr. Saidu Dakingari and his wife, when the incident occurred at about 10.pm on Friday.
Dakingari and his wife have since returned to Birnin Kebbi, the Kebbi State capital.
Aminu Salahu of Kabo Airlines told the AP that no one was injured in the accident that affected two of the Jumbo Jet’s 18 tires.
