August 25, (THEWILL) – Charlie Watts, the drummer of the famous music group, Rolling Stones, is dead.
A wife, a daughter and grandchildren survive Watts.
Bernard Doherty, the publicist of the late drummer announced his death on Tuesday.
He said, ”Watts passed away peacefully in a London hospital earlier today surrounded by his family.
“Charlie was a cherished husband, father and grandfather and also as a member of The Rolling Stones one of the greatest drummers of his generation.”
THEWILL writes that Watts joined the Rolling Stones with co-founders Keith, Mick and Brian Jones.
