BEVERLY HILLS, December 13, (THEWILL) – The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has been declared winner in seven of the 12 results announced so far in the Rivers state legislative rerun election while the All Progressives Congress (APC) has won in five declarations.

A total of 21 seats are being contested in the election, which has entered day 4 owing to multiple violence.

Of the three senatorial elections in contention, the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has declared that PDP won two seats, while APC won one.

The PDP won in Rivers East senatorial district with 93,098 votes and in Rivers West senatorial district with 107,166 while the APC won in Rivers South East senatorial district with 125,938 votes.

Of the five results declared in the House of Representatives, PDP has won three seats while the APC has two with three results yet to be declared.

PDP won in Okrika Ogu/Bolo federal constituency with 11,668 votes, in Andoni/Opobo Nkoro federal constituency with 16, 234 votes and in Asari-Toru/Akuku-Toru federal constituency with 39,444 votes while the APC won in Khana/Gokana federal constituency with 68,219 votes and in Tai/Oyigbo/Eleme federal constituency with 48,760 votes.

At the state House of Assembly, where four results have been announced, both parties have won two seats each with six results yet to be declared.

PDP won in Bonny state constituency with 6,610 and in Andoni constituency with 10,729 votes while the APC won in Khana state constituency 2 with 15,000 votes and in Gokana state constituency with 24,624 votes.
