September 01, (THEWILL) – The founder of the Love of Christ Generation Church, Reverend Esther Ajayi, also known as Iya Adura, has finally reacted to the rift between herself and Prophet Oladele Israel Ogundipe, aka Genesis.

Recall that The Street Journal had reported that Ogundipe had taken a swipe at Ajayi, during a Sunday service programme, alleging that she had abandoned his family when he was arrested over alleged fraud activity.

He claimed the highly revered cleric removed all his photos from their official social media pages because he was going through a tough phase.

Ogundipe recounted how he had served Ajayi meritoriously, even to the extent of abandoning his own ministry.

Although he did not exactly mention her name, numerous pointers from his statement made it clear he was referring to her.

Following his attack on her, gospel singer, Lanre Teriba Atorise, slammed Ogundipe and threatened him if he did not retrieve his words and issue an unreserved apology to Ajayi.

Responding to the backlash from Ogundipe, Ajayi said she is too busy to lose focus because she is preparing for the 15th anniversary of her ministry in London and the one year anniversary thanksgiving of her Lagos Cathedral.

She added that numerous eminent personalities will be gracing the occasions and this would require her to focus on the task at hand instead of getting distracted.

“I am too busy a person to lose my focus. Obasanjo coming to preach in my church on Sunday…” she replied when asked to comment on Ogundipe’s outburst.

She did, however, offer an intercessory prayer for Ogundipe.

The Street Journal had also reported that a lawyer, identified as Pelumi Olajengbesi, had issued a strong warning to singer Atorise for threatening Ogundipe.

Olajengbesi told the singer to desist from getting involved in the rift between Ogundipe and Ajayi.

“Lanre Teriba Atorise is advised to quickly caution himself with his nature of utterances in the dispute between Prophet Israel Ogundipe Genesis and Reverend Mother Esther Abimbola Ajayi.

“He should control his emotions now, nothing under the law gives him the right to threaten anybody. A threat is a crime under the law. The law allows an aggrieved person to express himself or herself just like Genesis has done, but the law will jail a person who threatens another even if he has not carried out his threats.

“Atorise is well advised because if anything happens to Genesis negligently, Atorise has bought a case he did not pray for. The person to apologise in 24 hours is he.”
