February 17, (THEWILL) – Ray Liotta will be honoured with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame nine months after his demise.
According to a tweet by Variety, the ceremony will take place on Friday, February 24, in Los Angeles.
“Ray Liotta’s all-around career made him a triple threat and sadly his passing was devastating to the entertainment world,” Ana Martinez, producer of the Hollywood Walk of Fame, revealed in a statement.
“The characters he portrayed will always be etched in Hollywood’s film history,” Martinez added.
Liotta died unexpectedly at age 67 in May. The ‘Goodfellas’ actor died in his sleep in the Dominican Republic.
The actor’s daughter, Karsen Liotta, will accept the star honour on her father’s behalf, according to a release, while Elizabeth Banks, ‘Cocaine Bear’s’ director, will speak during the ceremony.
