February 03, (THEWILL) – Manchester United forward Marcus Rashford has been awarded the English Premier League’s Player of the Month for January 2023.
This marks the second time this season and the third time in his career that Rashford has won the prestigious award. During the month of January, Rashford scored three goals in four EPL matches including a crucial 82nd-minute winner in the Manchester derby against City.
Rashford has been a standout performer for Manchester United this season, with 18 goals and eight assists in 31 games across all competitions. His impressive form earned him a place on a seven-man shortlist, which included players from Newcastle, Nottingham Forest, Manchester City, Brighton, Brentford, and Arsenal.
However, Rashford emerged as the top performer and received the award for his exceptional efforts in January. Manchester United fans will be looking forward to seeing Rashford continue his form in February, starting with a match against Crystal Palace.
