Rangers Announce Return To Historic Enugu Stadium Against 3SC

December 21, (THEWILL) – Enugu-based football club Rangers International have confirmed they will return to their historic Nnamdi Azikiwe Stadium home ground, known locally as “The Cathedral”, starting with their fixture against Shooting Stars on December 28.

Rangers were previously forced to relocate for a period from The Cathedral, understood to be due to issues with conditions at the grounds. However, following assurances from Governor Peter Mbah of Enugu State, the necessary improvements have now been carried out to facilitate the club’s homecoming.

In a statement released on Thursday, praising the patience of supporters, Rangers thanked the “sports-loving” Governor along with fans who travelled to watch the team or attended matches at their temporary home in Awka.

Their first fixture back is poised to be an emotional occasion for players and supporters alike.
