February 12,(THEWILL) – In a closely contested match on Sunday, in the Serie A, Juventus narrowly defeated Fiorentina with a header from Adrien Rabiot.
The game got off to an intense start with Rabiot receiving a booking just 30 seconds into the match. Despite this early setback, Juventus continued to apply pressure, with Angel Di Maria and Federico Chiesa causing trouble for the Fiorentina defense. Manuel Locatelli also contributed with several key plays, including a deflection that set up Rabiot’s game-winning header.
Despite Juventus’ lead, Fiorentina refused to give up and had several close opportunities to equalise. Nico Gonzalez nearly scored off two crosses from the right, and substitute Moise Kean was denied a goal by a desperate save from Pietro Terracciano.
In the end, however, it was a well-placed header from Rabiot that proved to be the difference maker, securing the win for Juventus.
With this victory, Juventus can now turn their attention to their upcoming Europa League match against Nantes. Fiorentina, on the other hand, will travel to Braga for a match in the Europa Conference.
