December 03, (THEWILL) – For their World Cup round of 16 match against the Netherlands, the United States named Christian Pulisic to their starting lineup.
The USA advanced to the knockout round on Tuesday, thanks to Pulisic’s game-winning goal against Iran, but as THEWILL reported, he was also sent to the hospital for scans on an abdomen issue.
Gregg Berhalter has not hesitated to reintroduce the Chelsea attacker into the game against Louis van Gaal’s team at the Khalifa International Stadium as it was announced on Friday, that Pulisic had been given the go-ahead to participate.
With four goals and two assists over his last nine matches for the USA, Pulisic has been personally involved in six of their six goals, including both of their World Cup goals thus far.
Kickoff for the round of 16 match is at 4pm local time.
