November 30, (THEWILL) –Â After being taken to the hospital following the USMNT’s 1-0 victory over Iran, Christian Pulisic attempted to allay concerns about his fitness by declaring he will be ready for their next game.
There was still cause for concern as the USMNT statement revealed that Pulisic had a “pelvic contusion” and that his “status is day-to-day” before the team’s World Cup match against the Netherlands.
As THEWILL reported, 24-year-old Pulisic scored the game’s lone goal against Iran. But, the forward hurt himself in the process and needed several minutes of medical attention. At halftime, he was then taken out of the game.

A spokeswoman for the United States Soccer Federation stated that Pulisic had been transported to the hospital after the game, sparking concerns that he could be unavailable for Saturday’s round of 16 tie.
However, Pulisic attempted to allay doubts about his fitness by uploading a Snapchat picture of himself lying on a hospital bed with the caption: “So f****** proud of my guys. I’ll be ready Saturday don’t worry.”
