December 24, (THEWILL) – The iconic Brazilian footballer, Pele, is still fighting illness in the hospital, and his daughter, Kely Nascimento, has provided an emotional update on his status through Instagram.
Pele, who is still battling cancer, was readmitted to the Albert Einstein Hospital in Sao Paulo, Brazil, on November 29, for a respiratory infection, as THEWILL reported.
It was recently revealed that the football legend’s condition has gotten worse and that his disease is progressing.
Nascimento posted a photo of herself and the 82-year-old cuddling in his hospital bed with her daughter, Sophia, dozing beside them on Instagram on Friday, along with an emotional update on her father’s condition as caption: “We are still here, in the fight and in faith. One more night together.”
Since 2021, Pele has been battling cancer, and he also has a heart issue. Because her father’s disease is getting worse, Nascimento previously stated that the family will not be spending Christmas at home this year.
