SAN FRANCISCO, March 15, (THEWILL) – The Governor of Bayelsa State, Hon. Seriake Dickson and a former military president, Gen Ibrahim Babangida (retd), met behind closed doors for about an hour in Minna, the capital of Niger State on Wednesday.
Dickson, who did not talk to journalists after the meeting, was said to have driven off immediately after the meeting.
A reliable source, knowledgeable about the meeting but declined to be named, explained that the 60-minute meeting took place at the ex-Nigerian ruler’s Hilltop mansion in Minna.
Dickson was specifically said to have met alone with Babangida in his private study at his country home, away from the prying eyes of aides of both politicians.
“The Governor, after an hour, came out of the meeting and did not
disclose the purpose of the visit but instead got into his car and
zoomed off,” the source said.
