PAP: Ex-Agitators Leader Urges Beneficiaries To Be Calm Over Payments Delay

September 30, (THEWILL) – The new National Chairman of the Presidential Amnesty Programme, (PAP) Phase 3, General Elaye Slaboh, has called on the beneficiaries of the Presidential Amnesty Programme to be patient with the amnesty office, as preparations are ongoing for the commencement of payment of September Stipends, appealing for calm and calling for the jettisoning of any form of protest in the region that will paint our image in bad light to the outside world.

Slaboh made the appeal amidst rumours that some sponsored beneficiaries have concluded arrangements to embark on a protest against the presidential Amnesty office over the delay in the payment of September Stipends.

“I heard a rumour that some persons were planning to embark on a protest to disrupt the sustainable peace in the region due to delayed payment of September monthly stipends.”

He also advised the aggrieved beneficiaries to always resort to peaceful dialogue l and proper enquiry from the appropriate leaderships and authorities in various Phases as to the current state of things in the Office before embarking on actions which are most times masterminded by some desperate leaders, who are only after their personal interests.” We need to make proper enquiry and avoid any tendency to be misled by some disgruntled elements who are after their personal agenda to the detriment of our shared collective interest”, he said.

He assured the beneficiaries that the payment of September Stipends shall commence this weekend or early next week, all things being equal.

He further stated that the issue of those BVN-affected beneficiaries will soon be a thing of the past as all hands are on deck to resolve it amicably because the presidential Amnesty Program under the current leadership of our listening Interim Administrator, Major General Tariye Barry Ndiomu (rtd).

In a statement, General Whoknows Tomorrow cautioned members against any protests and urged peace-loving members to rally support for the leadership of the third phase presidential Amnesty Program, being headed by General Elaye Slaboh to enable him to actualise his vision and mission purposefully.
