February 01, (THEWILL) – Popular Nigerian gospel singer, Sammie Okposo’s wife, Ozioma Okposo has shown support for her husband as he returns to social media by reacting to his first comeback post.
The gospel music star had briefly left the social media space and deactivated his pages after publicly admitting that he cheated on his wife, Ozioma, and betrayed the Christian faith. He took responsibility for his actions and apologised to his wife and everyone who felt hurt by his actions.
In the lengthy comeback note he posted on his now-private Instagram account, the music star pointed out that he is now free from the power of sin and is no longer bound by the fear of men. According to him, God’s grace is sufficient and Jesus has already saved him with his compassion and he now lives free of all his mistakes.

“I am the righteousness of God in Christ. I am born of God, the life of God is in me; Christ in me the hope of glory I am free from the law, from the power of sin. I am no longer bound by the fear of men.
“God’s grace is available, sufficient and working for me. Jesus already saved me not because of any works of righteousness that I have done, but because of His compassion and mercy, by the cleansing of the new birth (spiritual transformation, regeneration) and renewing by the Holy Spirit.
“Jesus is crazy about me, He loves me just the way I am. Christ has redeemed me. I live free, all my fears and mistakes are drowned in God’s perfect Love. There is, therefore, no condemnation to me. I am in Christ Jesus. I walk not after the flesh but after the spirit; the law of the spirit of life in Christ Jesus has made free from the power of sin and death. Who is he or she that saith a thing and it cometh to pass when the Lord commandeth it not…… NOBODY.”
Ozioma’s support for her husband has also received some appraisal and backlash alike.
While some people think she’s done the right things as a virtuous woman, others raised the question that if she was the cheat who got pregnant for another man, would her husband forgive her let alone so quickly?
