March 19, (THEWILL)- A female lawyer identified as Beatrice Onwuzurike, on Monday, reportedly slumped and died while jogging at the Dan Anyiam Sports Stadium, Owerri, the Imo State capital.
Eyewitnesses said the woman, who was wearing a training kit alongside other people who came for morning exercise, fainted and died while jogging around the stadium.
Some shop owners inside the stadium told our reporter that the deceased was not a popular face at the training ground.
A woman, who spoke on condition of anonymity, confirmed the incident, saying the female lawyer fainted and died instantly. Although she could not confirm where she (the deceased) hailed from, she added that she had seen her several times.
The corpse, according to her, had been disposed of and deposited in the morgue.
When contacted, Spokesperson of the Imo State Police Command, Henry Okoye, said the Command had yet to be briefed about the incident.
