Osun Decides: PDP Candidate Adeleke Votes In Ede

July 16, (THEWILL) – The governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), in the ongoing gubernatorial poll in Osun State, Senator Ademola Adeleke, has cast his vote.

Adeleke exercised his franchise on Saturday, at polling unit 9, Ward 2, Sagba/Abogunde, in Ede North Local Government Area, as early as 8:52am.

In a short interview with journalists, he described the exercise as very impressive so far.

The PDP governorship candidate commended the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) for its efforts.

According to him, everything is going well and that has been the situation from the information he has received from other voting areas. He was optimistic of winning the poll.

Reports had said the PDP candidate jumped the queue to cast his vote.

Senator Adeleke, who arrived at his polling unit about 8:46am was accredited by the electoral officials on duty at about 8:50am, after which he voted about two minutes later.

Within six minutes of his arrival at the polling unit, he completed the exercise and returned to his Adeagbo family house at Adeagbo area of Ede.

However, Adeleke explained that he was unanimously given the opportunity by the people, because “they love me.

“It was the people that invited me to come forward and cast my ballot. They asked me to step forward and go the front.”
