March 07, (THEWILL) – Napoli’s Victor Osimhen has set his sights on playing in the English Premier League in the future, describing it as his “dream”.
The Nigerian striker has been a key player in Napoli’s successful season, leading their charge to win their first Serie A title in over 30 years. Osimhen has scored an impressive 21 goals in 26 games across all competitions, and his performances have reportedly attracted the attention of several top English clubs.
Chelsea have made Osimhen their top transfer target for the summer of 2023, while Manchester United are also said to be interested in the 24-year-old. In addition, there are reports from across Europe suggesting that Arsenal are monitoring his progress closely.
Speaking at a recent press conference, Osimhen confirmed his ambition to play in the EPL. “I think playing in one of the top five leagues in the world [Serie A] is an amazing feeling for me,” he said. “A lot of people worldwide consider the Premier League as the best and the strongest league but now I’m in one of the best leagues in the world, which is the Italian Serie A.
“I’m working so hard to make sure that I achieve my dream of playing in the Premier League someday but as I said, it’s a process and I just want to keep on this momentum and continue to do well.”
