September 29, (THEWILL) – Osasuna stunned Barcelona with a 4-2 victory in La Liga, ending a five-game winless streak against the Catalan giants. The match at El Sadar stadium saw Bryan Zaragoza shine with a goal and an assist in the first half.

The home team started strongly, testing Barcelona’s young defence. Ante Budimir opened the scoring, heading in a cross from Zaragoza. The Croatian striker had earlier missed a chance, sending a shot wide. Zaragoza then doubled Osasuna’s lead, cleverly rounding the goalkeeper, Iñaki Peña, after receiving a well-timed pass from Pablo Ibáñez.

Barcelona struggled to find their rhythm, with Robert Lewandowski isolated for much of the first half. Jules Koundé came closest for the visitors before half-time, his header hitting the crossbar. After the break, Barca increased their pressure, and Pau Víctor capitalised on a goalkeeper error to pull one back.

Osasuna weathered the storm and extended their lead when Budimir converted a penalty he had won. Abel Bretones added a fourth with a spectacular strike in the 85th minute. Barca’s young star Lamine Yamal scored a consolation goal, but it was not enough to prevent Osasuna’s victory.

This win marks Osasuna’s fourth consecutive home victory in La Liga, a feat they had not achieved since March 2008. The result is particularly notable as it handed Barcelona their first league defeat of the 20
