August 05, (THEWILL) – In a pre-season friendly at Old Trafford, Manchester United displayed their strength and resilience, sealing a 3-1 victory against French side, RC Lens.

After going behind via a spectacular 45-yard screamer from Lens’ Florian Sotoca, the Red Devils bounced back with an impressive second-half show. Man Utd’s newest goalkeeper, Andre Onana, was adventurous with outstanding ball distribution and interceptions. Looking ahead, Man Utd’s focus will shift to the English Premier League opener against Wolverhampton Wanderers. With another friendly against Athletic Club to come, manager, Erik ten Hag, may strategically preserve the core starting XI for the league’s commencement.

As for the newly unveiled Rasmus Hojlund, it remains uncertain if he’ll make his presence felt in the upcoming clash. The victory against Lens serves as an encouraging sign for the Red Devils as they prepare for the competitive season ahead.
