August 05, (THEWILL) – In a pre-season friendly at Old Trafford, Manchester United displayed their strength and resilience, sealing a 3-1 victory against French side, RC Lens.
After going behind via a spectacular 45-yard screamer from Lens’ Florian Sotoca, the Red Devils bounced back with an impressive second-half show. Man Utd’s newest goalkeeper, Andre Onana, was adventurous with outstanding ball distribution and interceptions. However, Lens took an early lead when Sotoca capitalised on a wayward pass, scoring an extraordinary goal from the centre circle, catching Onana off-guard.
In the second half, Man Utd turned the game around with Antony creating Marcus Rashford’s equaliser before finding the back of the net himself.
