Okpara Slams Manchester United For ‘Disrespecting’ Ighalo

SAN FRANCISCO, October 07, (THEWILL) – Former Super Eagles and PSG defender, Godwin Okpara, has berated English side, Manchester United and manager, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, for ‘disrespecting’ former Nigerian international striker, Odion Ighalo.

Okpara disclosed this while speaking with brila.net on Wednesday, saying that the English club dishonoured the Nigerian striker for extending his loan and making his stay on the bench saying: “It is also disrespectful to all African players as a whole”.

“Ighalo came into the club at a very difficult time and was able to help the team get the needed goals in matches he was called upon,” Okpara said.

THEWILL notes that United recently acquired the services of Uruguayan striker, Edison Cavani, which further complicates Ighalo’s situation as he is already competing with favorites, Marcus Rashford and Tony Martial for playing time.
