Ogun Pupils Protest Colleague’s Death, Block Highway

BEVERLY HILLS, February 11, (THEWILL) – Children from the United Comprehensive High School, Wasimi in Ewekoro Local Government Area of Ogun State, today, blocked the Lagos-Abeokuta Expressway to protest the killing of a student.

Their unnamed schoolmate was reportedly run over while crossing the road.

Adorned in school uniform, the students in large numbers trooped out of the institution’s premises and blocked the highway.

The development made travellers both from Lagos and Abeokuta stranded for hours.

A source who works around the area said, “It was the students of United Comprehensive High school that were turning vehicles back and did not allow vehicles to ply the road.”
