September 10, (THEWILL) – The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) has urged corps members to seize the opportunity offered by the Tony Elumelu Foundation Entrepreneurship Grant.

Interested participants are urged to register at https://www.tefconnect.net, a platform dedicated to empowering entrepreneurs across Africa.

The Tony Elumelu Foundation stands as a leading force in promoting entrepreneurship in Africa. Focused on empowering both men and women, the foundation is dedicated to spurring economic growth, eradicating poverty, and fostering job creation across the continent.

“We believe Africa’s private sector must drive both social and economic wealth to secure sustainable development,” the foundation noted.

In addition to the foundation’s grant scheme, the NYSC management has reminded corps members to make the most of the Skill Acquisition and Entrepreneurship Development (SAED) programme.

This initiative is designed to equip youth with valuable vocational skills, empowering them to become self-reliant after their service year.

“At least, corps members can learn a skill during camp and continue with post-camp training to further develop their abilities,” the NYSC management emphasised.

NYSC has built strong partnerships with various organisations to support corps members in their entrepreneurial journeys. These partnerships, which include the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), Bank of Industry (BOI), Unity Bank, Access Bank, and the NNPC Foundation, provide valuable loans and grants to help young entrepreneurs kick-start their businesses.

By leveraging opportunities like the Tony Elumelu Foundation grant and NYSC’s entrepreneurship training, corps members can play a vital role in transforming Africa’s economy, one business at a time.
