January 29, (THEWILL) – The Nigerian Union of Agriculture and Allied Employees (NUAAE), Cross River Basin Branch has honoured the Managing Director of Cross River Basin Development Authority (CRBDA), Engr. Nkposong.
The MD was honoured with the Most Union Friendly CEO of the Authority for 2021.
The chairman of the Union Comrade Joseph Etim presented the award to the MD during the send forth of the past executive of the Union.
Comrade Etim said apart from the infrastructural development spread across the catchment issues of staff welfare have been promptly attended to.
He added that the event was aimed at appreciating those who have contributed to the overall success of the Authority over the years.
In addition it was also an opportunity for members of the Union and the entire staff to re-strategize for the task ahead in the coming year.
He highlighted areas which need urgent attention of management to include the issue of delayed staff promotion, non-release of supervision for staff and the overall manpower development are areas which still need much to be desired.
The Chairman of the event and Managing Director of Implementing Technology Nigeria Limited, Mr Uko Inaku said he was proud to be associated with the Union.
He called for continuous dialogue in the event of misunderstanding between the Management and Union stressing that for the overall progress of the establishment, a smooth working relationship needs to be created by the two parties.
In his remarks, Managing Director of CRBDAÂ Engr Nkposong said the Award belonged to the Management and Staff of the Authority who have worked tirelessly to ensure that the Authority was not brought to its knees in the aftermath of the EndSars demonstration.
He thanked the Union for recognising not only the past executive of the Union but also outstanding stakeholders who have contributed to the success of the Authority over the years.
On his part, the State Chairman of the Union, Comrade Godwin Ote said he was impressed at the smooth working relationship existing between the Management and the Union.
He called on sister Unions in other establishments to imitate the cordial working relationship existing in the Authority.
