April 10, (THEWILL) – The Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) matchday 13 concluded with a total of eight games played across various centres of the country on Sunday, among them, four matches resulted in draws, two home teams emerged victorious, and an away team clinched a win.
Enyimba won 2-1 over Plateau United in Aba, marking their first win in the second half of the season after a five-game losing streak. Imo Obot scored the first goal for Enyimba in the 34th minute, followed by Emeka Obioma’s 10th goal to secure the win, while Izuchukwu Chimezie scored a consolation goal for Plateau United in the 71st minute. Enyimba have now moved to the third position with 21 points, while Plateau United is in the fifth position with 18 points.
At the Lekan Salami Stadium, Shooting Stars played against Remo Stars in a 1-1 draw. Desmond Agbekpomu scored the first goal for the hosts 10 minutes into the game, while Aniekeme Okon scored a header to Sodiq Ismail’s cross for Remo Stars with 20 minutes left in the game, restoring parity.
In Akure, Enugu Rangers held Sunshine Stars to a 1-1 draw at the Akure Township Stadium. Ibrahim Yusuf scored for the Gunners in the 16th minute, and Chidiebere Nwobodo scored a goal for the Flying Antelopes in the 28th minute.
In Bauchi, Bayelsa United beat Wikki Tourists 2-1 with goals from Robert Mizo and Stephen Wisdom after Chibundu Ameh opened the scoring in the 23rd minute. The win extended Bayelsa United’s unbeaten run to three games.
