September 04, (THEWILL) – The Sports Writers Association of Nigeria, Bayelsa State chapter, will soon receive branded jerseys from one of the state’s frontline and leading dealers of sports kits and facilities, Nonso Sports Shop, as part of the firm’s corporate social responsibility.
Following an initial discussion by the immediate past caretaker chairman of the association, Elder Loveday Herbert with the Chief Executive Officer, Nonso Sports Shop, Prince Chinonso Okpara, the association, led by its Chairman, Comrade Mrs Timinepre Ohia and some executive members, visited the CEO, where the deal was sealed.
The visiting team lauded Okpara for his numerous contributions to the development of sports in Bayelsa State and beyond, saying they were aware of his philanthropic activities at various sporting events in the state.
The association solicited partnership and support from the business outfit with a branded jersey for each of its members, as well as two balls for its forthcoming SWAN Week.
Okpara, who was elated with the partnership, promised to present a branded jersey to every registered member of the association, alongside two balls for them to execute their SWAN Week.
While assuring his readiness to support SWAN in its course, he urged the body to keep up the good work of promoting sporting activities in the state.
